Luke is one of the children who received a $1,000 Rise Family Grant from CNF. Here is a message from his parents.

“We are so thankful for this grant. Of course, the isolation for COVID-19 was hard on everyone. For us, life changed drastically. Many of Luke’s appointments were either completed through telehealth or rescheduled. Due to unavailability, Luke had missed an EEG appointment to track his episodes of epilepsy. Because it was postponed, he began to have seizures again because his dose of medication needed to be adjusted. This in turn, forced us into accumulating more medical bills, on top of our regular bills, which were already difficult as unemployment became a temporary way of life. This grant will certainly assist in helping this family dig out of the whole that was created during our time of isolation. Thank you so much!” – Joan, Cody, and Luke
