Dear CNF Community,
I am honored to step into the role of Executive Director and join you on this journey. As both a professional and a parent of two children with neurologic conditions, I understand the challenges and victories that come with being a caregiver. My experiences—as a mother, advocate, and leader—have strengthened my commitment to making sure every family has the resources, support, and community they need.
At CNF, we believe no family should feel alone. That’s why we work hard to close gaps in care, bring families, doctors, and researchers together, and create real change that puts families first. With over 90 advocacy organizations in our network, we are expanding access to important resources, improving education, and making sure families’ voices shape the future of pediatric neurology care.
One of our biggest goals is to make sure families have clear, reliable, and timely information. CNF is committed to giving parents the knowledge and tools they need to make informed choices. We also believe parents and caregivers should be respected as equal partners in their child’s care. Supporting caregivers is just as important as supporting children, because when caregivers are well, children receive better care.
More than anything, I want you to know that you are not alone. I have been in your shoes, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel. My dedication to this work is not just professional—it is personal. Every day, I wake up determined to make this journey easier, more supported, and more hopeful for families like mine and yours.
Together, we can create a future where children with neurologic conditions receive the best care and every family feels heard, valued, and supported. I look forward to working with you, listening to your stories, and building a strong, uplifting community.
With gratitude and commitment,
Kim Hindery
