We’d like to welcome Lindsey Taveren to the CNF Team! To help you get to know her, Lindsey answered a few questions to share with the CNF community.
What’s your role at CNF?
As the Director of Accounting and Finance my primary role is to manage the financial health of the Child Neurology Foundation.
What are you passionate about?
I’m very passionate about doing meaningful work that will make an impact on the world, which is one of the reasons I decided to join the Foundation. The Foundation’s vision of “creating a world in which all children affected by neurologic disorders reach their full potential” is so critically important. In this role I plan to answer that call by communicating meaningful financial and statistical information that provides insight into the progress being made toward that vision.
Which CNF Value do you identify with the most?( Integrity, Stewardship, Collaboration, Professionalism).
The value I most identify with is Stewardship. To best serve this community, we must listen to and respect the diversity of experience within the community and let their voices be our guide.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
I wish I could speak every language on the planet, so that I could travel anywhere and be able to connect with people without a language barrier.
How do you spend your time when you’re not at work?
I really enjoy a good book, and aspire to write one myself one day!
What do you love about CNF’s story?
I had the privilege of working with the Child Neurology Foundation in my prior position at the American Academy of Neurology, and have seen firsthand over several years the transformational leadership of the Executive Director Amy Brin. I was so excited to formally join the team and be a part of the rising tide the Child Neurology Foundation is creating, because the outcomes of the Foundation’s programming have a very real impact on the lives of families and their children.
